Natural, Toxin-free Skincare and Makeup with AnnMarie Gianni

Today I want to share with you one of my favourite lines of skincare and mineral makeup, AnnMarie Gianni.

First, why should this event matter to you?

Without getting into a lot of the scientific explanation which can be found elsewhere (See Dr Izabella Wentz’s article: How Supporting the Liver is Key to Recovering from Thyroid Disease), I will simply say that a healthy liver is necessary for the conversion of T4 hormone into the active form, T3. If the liver is overburdened in its critical detoxification role, its ability to properly convert T4 to T3 may be compromised.

Given this, one of the most important things we can do is to support our livers to do their jobs. And one of the most important things we can do to support our livers is to remove as much of the toxic load it is dealing with that we can.

While environmental pollutants are not always in our control, one thing we can do more easily is eliminate or reduce the chemicals we’re exposed to in our self-care products.

Did you know that the average woman uses between 12-16 beauty products daily, exposing them to at least 168 chemicals every day!*

Don’t believe it? Here’s my personal tally from getting ready for the day this morning:

  1. Toothpaste
  2. Shampoo
  3. Conditioner
  4. Body wash
  5. Body lotion
  6. Deodorant
  7. Perfume
  8. Facial serum
  9. Eye cream
  10. Facial lotion
  11. Hair styling product
  12. Foundation
  13. Setting powder
  14. Blush
  15. Eyelash primer
  16. Mascara

Yep. That doesn’t count any other chemicals I encounter throughout the day such as hand soap, dish soap, air fresheners, other people’s perfumes, cleaning products, etc.

So, to help reduce the direct impact in my own body, I have made the switch to the most natural body care and makeup products that I can find.

This is where Annmarie comes in for me. This company hand makes their product lines which have been certified by the MADE SAFE non-profit organization, which is designated only to those products made with safe ingredients, without toxic chemicals known to harm health. You can read more about that here.

Their products are beautiful, smell lovely, and feel great on the skin. Their product range includes facial skincare, hair care, body care, essential oils, accessories, teas, and mineral makeup.

Want to try them out?

If you are interested to try this product line but are at all uncertain, they sell some lovely sample kits for skin care, makeup, and essential oils for just $10 (USD) each.

Also, as a reader of my blog, I’m happy to share with you my referral link which will get you $25 off your first purchase of $75 or more (and, full disclosure, it will also award me with points in my account that will earn me $25 off as well).

Lastly, I’ll mention that with every order you earn points that add up to discounts on future purchases. If you become a convert and find products that you plan to add to your daily routines for the long-run, you can subscribe for auto-shipment of those items and become a “Collective Insider” which enables you to receive additional discounts and receive generous free gifts.

If you’ve tried these products, let me know what you think of them in the comments below!
